Cooper Hansen Nature Photography was stared by Tom in 2020 as a means to share his passion for the outdoors. Named, in part by incorporating his mother’s maiden name (Cooper), Cooper Hansen Nature Photography was founded as a means to contribute to conservation efforts that improve wildlife habitat and has resulted in the formation Cooper Hansen Habitat Initiative.
Cooper Hansen Habitat Initiative
Inspired by the work of Doug Tallamy, we believe that virtually everyone has a role to play in supporting our birds and wildlife by creating/protecting habitat, large or small. From host plants and keystone trees, to insect friendly lawns and gardens, to fields and woodlands providing shelter, food and water.
Mission: To improve bird and wildlife habitat through planting and protection of native plants.

Rustic Road Gallery
We feature multiple artists woking in a variety of mediums, all having a connection to nature. We also offer a number of nature related books and field guides, tools and eco-friendly boutique gift items.
We host various events in support of the Cooper Hansen Habitat Initiative mission.
At the Gallery, sitting on Pine Creek, we have created and maintain nature trails that are open to Gallery guests during normal business hours: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM - April 15 thru December 23, and by appointment.
